Best use of a apple product I have ever seen.

gearhead_318 01-12-2012 05:01 PM

I've wondered about this for some time:

TurboTim 01-12-2012 05:56 PM

That AMG: 480hp/255 tire=1.882

My projected 2012 setup: 450hp/205 tire=2.195

ut oh.

240_to_miata 01-12-2012 06:01 PM

someone should tell that guy that grip isnt just directly related to tire width. Technically friction isnt increased by surface area. (yes there are other factors that make wider increase performance) Still awesome tho.

Braineack 01-12-2012 06:04 PM

best handling cars ever = ones with zero traction. got it.

But I still won't vote for him.

Braineack 01-13-2012 09:38 AM

I mean he couldn't even paint an ear, let alone a scrabble board.

xturner 01-13-2012 11:16 AM

LOL at paying huge $$$ for a print of photo-realism. Or is there some sort of double irony that I'm missing?

Not until now...that's retarded. I figured his originals were huge bucks though. I buy original art when I'm moved to do so, but typically not prints of paintings, it's far too superficial at that point.

Edit: Here's one...$28K

Most artists with a formal education learn to draw and paint with perfect realism, then they move on to bigger and better things. There is just as much skill and a lot more creativity in the contemporary art that you dismiss.

Those oil paintings, while demonstrating technical skill and patients, are total crap. They are nothing more than a study in technique.
Lets put it another way. If those were photographs, they would be garbage. So why would they be fine art when copied perfectly in oil?

Not only that, but why bother with a print of a painting of a photograph? Why not just take the damn picture yourself? Sure, the guy has skillz, but it seems like he's doing it the wrong way... ;)

I'd give $15k for it. Look how clean it is for a '91 at 300k. I guess you could get parts for a rebuild from Honda still.

$12k then. I didn't read it, just looked at pictures. Those issues are to be expected with a 21 year old car, and are pretty minor, if I read all of the issues this time.
