If I lived in Maine I'd probably commit suicide too.

The map is all wrong. Mass has the worst drivers? WONG. That should be in GA.

There is no way they are as bad as california drivers
Down in the southern parts of CA, anyway, it's been my general experience that people tend not to rubberneck, not to drive at or below the speed limit in the left lane, not to drive any less than 10-15 MPH above the speed limit in any lane, not to drive farm machinery down the center of two-lane roads (and never pull over to allow traffic to overtake), not to own cars which belch smoke or have parts dangling off of them, not to own pickup trucks which are raised up to the point that the height of the floorpan is equal to or above my roofline, and, for the most part, would be capable of passing an IQ test with a score of 80 or better, a vision test with a corrected snellen acuity of 20/40 or better, and understand that it is possible to change lanes without hitting the brakes, even if there is another car on the road within 5 miles of them. By contrast, I was born in Griffin, GA, so I feel qualified to observe that while Atlanta isn't too bad (so long as you're not looking for Peachtree ave) the rest of the state makes me wonder why they even bothered paving the roads. |
Comments on how terrible local drivers are seem to be the same as comments on how unpredictable the local weather is ("If you don't like the weather in Mississippi/Maine/Montana/Missouri, wait 10 minutes!").
It's really a statement about how bad drivers are in general (or how unpredictable weather is in general), rather than a specific observation of local trends compared to some sort of existing baseline. |
The places where other drivers scared me the most was Montreal, followed by San Juan. Made anywhere in the US look peaceful and safe by comparison

I am laughing at how much discussion my one picture has caused. I just thought it was funny, I never meant for it to be an absolute truth.

However, http://img37.imagefra.me/i51t/thradd..._486_u77ts.jpg Couldn't find any references to Lake Louise being man-made, apart from the fact that somebody built an earthen dam at the base of it 150 years ago. I guess the Grand Canyon would magically become "man made" if somebody dammed the Colorado River downstream of it... This is the MQ-8B Combat UAV:
http://img263.imageshack.us/img263/7...bfirescout.jpg Those pods carry the fire-and-forget AGM-114 Hellfire missile, the laser/GPS-guided GBU-44/B Viper Strike missile, and the rather cheerfully named Advanced Precision Kill Weapon System. Fucking robot helicopters... |
