I paid $120? $150? less than that. Furniture is a huge racket, and markups are incredible. The sofa was nearly 1600 "on sale", but we got it for less than 1200. You just have to keep saying no and trying to walk out, and they keep throwing lower numbers at you 'til you sign.
They also threw in the 10 year warranty for less than half price and gave me a leather care kit for free (which they claim to charge $50 for). Delivery was also discounted. I pity the poor bastards that don't realize you can talk them down. |
My sofa was about $380 and love seat was $340 brand new. The last two i had purchased from the same source over 20 years time were only replaced do to cat inflicted damage, and not structure problems.

Having sat on hundreds of couches, sofas, loveseats chairs and recliners over the past two weeks (furniture shopping with the wife), I can say the following without reservation: this chair, while it may not look like it, is one of the most comfortable places to park your ass ever invented.
https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1425840229 Since we needed a new couch, and the wife's birthday is approaching, we purchased this with matching ottoman and the salesman cut me a deal on the couch. Best part? Made in USA with top grade materials. No plywoods, bonded leather (crap), or fake wood finishes. |

1. If you're smart enough to NOT set your furniture on fire, it should NOT release toxic chemicals. 2. if you do set it on fire, who cares. |

I'm saying MOST furniture is made with excessive toxic fire retardants that are almost totally unnecessary. Does this chair contain them or is it awesome in that way too?

Come on Roger, don't make this harder than it has to be! :giggle:

https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1425991873 It Sucks (In a Good Way) The key to the sucker's success was an M1 Abrams tank engine cooling blower fan that was sold for scrap metal value. ... At an operational vacuum of 10.0 inches of water, the Cheaparral’s sucker design yields an awesome 1000 pounds of downforce with an inertial penalty of just 200 pounds of hardware. The whole system can be removed or installed at the track in about an hour. |
