My faithful old media-server PC, with its 15 year old first-gen Pentium 4 processor, has finally gone dark. The power supply comes on, and everything which should spin does, but the motherboard isn't even attempting to boot. No video, no drive access, not even a pathetic little *meep* out of the on-board speaker to give some indication of life. https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...1&d=1420924952 A memorial service will be held on Monday. http://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-conten...1/IMG_0682.jpg Runs windows 8.1 DEETZ: Intel?s ?Compute Stick? is a full Windows or Linux PC in an HDMI dongle | Ars Technica |

Meanwhile intel has released a computer on a stick:
http://cdn.arstechnica.net/wp-conten...1/IMG_0682.jpg https://www.miataturbo.net/attachmen...ine=1421087459 The specs were a little lighter (1gig flash, 64 MB RAM, ARM-9 CPU), but it still had all of the normal stuff that a computer has (10/100 ethernet, USB and RS-232 ports, SD card interface, etc), and depending on the application we ran either WinCE or Linux on them. Pretty nifty. I wish I still had one somewhere. |

^^^ I'm sorry, that's just ugly. It's even uglier than the Mcleran P1. Not that I wouldn't drive either one of them, they're still fugly.

Well, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. I personally love the looks of function. That vehicle looks as good as i'm sure it will preform. You can tell some thought was put into it, unlike, say the challenger...
I also saw one of these on the drive in this morning. Talk about ugly. The lighting they have on it is extremely tacky. http://image.automobilemag.com/f/648...te-and-red.jpg Almost nissan juke, and pontiac aztek levels of ugly. |
EDIT: Methinks it is photoshop. |

Things and Kübelwagens are very cool. The father of one of my childhood friends had two Kubelwagens. They have teak flooring with a drain hole right there.
