I'm selling it to one of my business customers for $1200. The transaction will be in a couple of weeks. The floor pans need replacing and the interior needs to be redone. The paint is poor and the engine has been run hot and has been removed and is sitting next to it. The trans was removed as well. Trans was full of rainwater (got in through the shifter hole) when I bought it so it was noisy. I bought a spare for it on ebay but haven't tried it to see if it was good. It has a brand new soft top still in a box. The good news is a Miata engine will fit nicely into the chassis and the 5 speed will fit in place of the 4 speed with a little tunnel work. The car weighs 1250 lbs and only had about 45whp from the factory so any B6 or BP would be great. Suspension and brake upgrades are readily available for the Sprite as well. I really enjoyed driving it when it was running. Low mass cars with rack and pinion steering just change direction so well.
You will be happy to know I've pretty much talked the buyer into making the Miata drivetrain swap. :)
