Discount: GodSpeed Radiators
#181
FYI,
My radiator is bad, there's a leak between the core and the tank. Didn't know till I had everything on and pressured. I talked to the guy and he said I can return it for another one but I needed to get a work order from a shop that pressure tested it. I told I had to modify it to fit and he said that was fine.

can't really see where it's leaking from, just that it does somewhere on the passenger side. The guy (Chung) was pretty cool, he said to fax over the work order and he'll send me a new radiator. I don't need to ship the old one back . I'll make a new thread once I get the new radiator in.

that is very cool of him to save you the trouble of the return shipping. now THAT's customer service.
Mine arrived today. I haven't even had a chance to pull it out the box yet.

well it comes out under pressure. if he had told me ahead of time I could have told the shop in advance when the pressure tested it. Now the only way to show the leak is to put it on the car which will make taking a picture of the leak really difficult.

maybe they just want to know where its leaking in case there are more rads that leak, track where it leaks and fix the problem at the factory, so just take a marker and draw a cricle around where the leak is and take a picture of that and send it to them...i think that should do it
let us all know though

Mine is in. Fit was tight and hit at the front rad support driver's side. I spaced it with some high density foam which filled in between the upper support and the front of the radiator. Had an issue with the OEM fans not fitting and am not running them currently as it is chilly these days and I don't need them. If I was to use OEM fans I think I would only use the AC fan as there is more room on that side. It does take longer to get up to operating temp as well, but I am still not boosted. I can see one of the spiral fan arrangements with a shroud in my future before the California summer arrives.
