If you were to sell your car how much would you ask for it and why?

 

I think I speak for most people on this site when I say:

"A lot more than it's worth simply because I don't really want to get rid of it."

 

I owe like 10k on it, so I hope its worth more than that >.>;

I say without hardtop its worth in the 5-6k range, then a extra 600 to 1k for the hardtop depending on condition.

 

strip it part it out.

Sell it as stock. You'll make tons more moneyies then.

 

As is: 5.5-6k, parted out you could get more.

Am I the only one under the impression this thread was started to find out what everyone else though THEIR car was worth? I didn't pick up the part where he was trying to price out his car specifically but that definitely seems to be what he was looking for now.

Son of a bitch....that's like the tenth time I've posted something today that was completely explained in a previous post....I need some sleep or something apparently....carry on.

 

Modified cars have to be *flawless* in order to fetch big bucks. I would probably ask $10k for my car if I were to ever sell it, after I fixed the following:
-PDR driver's fender, new front/rear bumper skins, repaint hood/fenders/nose/hardtop
-new gauge hood
-new exhaust tip
-full detail

Probably $14k if I were to part out. I have more than that into it and I will probably never sell.

It would take a special car to kick the Miata out of my garage.

 

I dont want to sell it but I am in a bind and need the money. I am paying for a house I dont live in....

 

Mine is for sale in the Classifieds right now at $5500. Your parts "extensiveness" is about the same as mine, but it looks like you spent some more money.

The economy is in the ******* right now and winter is coming up fast... I haven't had a single hint of interest.

I'll probably end up shipping mine back to San Diego when I move there in December and parting the turbo stuff, keeping the swappable pieces for my NB build, and selling the OEM stuff to a guy who specializes in Miata parting there.

Your best bet for maximum return is to part it. I've learned one valuable lesson during the 2 years I've been building my '93... don't ever throw away any stock pieces you remove. Store and keep to return to stock. I wish I had.

 

I would love to have the time and space to do it but I am in an apt now and dont really have access to a garage like my house.
