Vw cop?

Vw cop?
Good day yall!
Was messing with my 99 this weekend because I had a coil pack get pissy. Seems once it's humid that the thing dies... (yep, already replaced wires, plugs, and all that crap.) Still car goes to hell in a handbasket with misses on cyl 4 all the time.
Anyhow, this issue had me thinking. In my toolbox were some VW Coils off of a 1.8T and I was curious... seems like the depth and whatnot fit just right. Did a search for "VW Coil" "VW COP" and hell just "VW" and got nothing back.
Has anyone tried to use VW coils on an NB per chance? I'm curious to see if they would work on a factory ECU on the 99 and of course with Adaptronic on my 02. Seeing that I have 8 of these things already... it may be worth a shot if anyone's had the expereince!
Thanks all and cheers,
Matt

If you can build a nice hold down bracket, they will be fine. The cars that blow the coils are the older ones with a a valve cover that has no provisions for hold down brackets.
Hell, you can buy a complete wiring harness for $50 bucks. I would give it a shot if I was you.
Here is a link to the harness, if you're interested

With the 01 coils... are they the same basic pin-out as the 99s? If I can just do some soldering and whatnot... it may just be better for the duration. I'd like to do something hotter on the turboed car since the 99 is just the dd.
Thanks and cheers,

I think it is the same pin out- hot, ground, signal.
