Transmission cooler? Don't be such a ******* ***** "Mr $1600 Miata". Back to the original question: yeah, I know from first hand experiance that it's tough. Last year I ended up burning the exhaust valve in cyl #4. A combination of a motor with 200k+ miles, boost, no intercooler (greddy kit) and pump gas.... It was at VIR. long drive home running on 3 cylinders...
Don't take a car to the track that you can't walk away from if you break it.
