What do you think this car is worth? I will probably go check it out on Thursday if its still there...what sorts of things should I check out?

I noticed that yesterday. It looks pretty well sorted with a quality roll bar and what looks like a FM2 kit.
Look to see if any smoke comes out of the back when you get on it. I don't really know what else you should specifically look for on a turbo miata, but I bet someone else on here can give you more specifics.
Other than that just look for the normal used car things, does it track straight, are all of the panels flush, weired noises, funky idle, check out all of the electronics, basic stuff.

Also, to the OP, when you go up there ask them how much they want for the drivetrain out of the fagbird in the background...I'm thinking I'm going V8.

assume the interior is crap. seat covers = shredded seats.
plus it's shod in azenis. no doubt it's been beat on. which by itself isn't bad, but it needs the maintenance to go with that beating.

I knew a lady who worked for a pot lot, and they would buy these cars at auctions for 300$-800$ and sell them for between 6,000 and 12,000, she said they never paid over 900 bucks for a car. She said they often made money on the car with just the buyers first down payment. Not that all pot lots are them same, but I cant see any pot lot having more than 3,000$ in that car.

Given that the car is in FL and has leather, i'd be willing to bet that the seats are just fine and someone got tired of shitty burning hot leather seats and found a cheap solution.
I think somone should go test drive it and come back bitching that it's NOT a T3 turbo.... it's really a Mitsubishi A-10-13 prototype...and see if they change their listing. Tell them it's made of gold and worth $10k

If you can get cash for it, be ready to pay up front at the lot that day. You don't have to take the money with you (I would), but make them know you could pay the amount you're offering on the spot. If you can do that, then read below:
After talking for a while and listening to the salesman talk the car up just say, "Dude, that car can't be worth more than $4k." Then say, "Alright, I might pay a little more if I can look it over and test drive it. I got $4,800 cash on me TODAY, but that's it. I need a car by the end of the week and I can't go higher." If they don't bend, the car isn't worth it. They might ask for your number and call you later when the car doesn't sell.
In the famous words of my friend's salesman-father, "I know you got fluff on that thing... Bend..."
