Default Super excited for NC turbo

Been doing research for upcoming summer nc turbo build, and just wanted to share my excitement with you guys.

Firstly, who thinks an efr will fit in there while keeping all the stock lines in place? I think it will be quite tight but doable.

Secondly check this thing out!! It's called DashDaq and im really excited to use it. Basically it connects to the OBD2 port as well as accepting inputs from a Zeitronix Zt-2, and I can configure all of my wildest gauge dreams on a nice 4.4" display. The display can be completely customized, and can also be programmed to give visual or audible alarms, do actual 0-60 runs, and data log. It can use a 4gb sd card, and the unit is always buffering when it is on so if something happens while driving, hit log and it will catch 20 seconds back of driving. I'm pumped.

EFR will fit, Ive already checked out a T28 and width wise its only 15 odd mm.

Length isnt an issue.

Hey post a photo of an american NC hotside, im talking with aussie experience.

I bet your OBD2 port will be really useful once you've got a tuning setup that will properly handle your EFR-equipped NC.

I bet it would be real useful on my OBD2 turbo miata.

Are you going with 6758 or 6258? It's a 2.0L motor after all

I'm planning on sticking with the 6258 as of now. My goal is roughly 300whp and 300wtq, whichever comes second . It's a lot more expensive to build these motors than a BP, so I want to stay stock block. Theres lots of mixed info, but I may or may not have forged rods from the factory. If I happen to blow the stock motor, mazdamotorsports sells brand new longblocks with stock forged internals for roughly 3k, not bad for a brand new motor imo.

As far as tuning goes, I am actually trying to decide between Moto-East or TDR. Yep I am actually seriously considering Jay at TDR. While I had many concerns with his turbo setup (most of which he fixed due to our collective butt-reaming), he is arguably the most knowledgable NC tuner there is. Mike Mann at Moto-East also has a ton of experience, and his personal car is running at 330whp right now on the stock motor. Sadly there isn't an easy plug and play ecu for the NC that I know of. I know goodwin is running motec but that's expensive and custom. I'm looking forward to running the stock ECU since it can handle the boost and will leave me with completely stock drivability.

Jay at TDR is not well-respected on this forum for good reason.

Ok, I get the joke now.....
I met Jay last year at MiB and he seemed very knowledgeable. He is a super nice guy and his car drove great! I am new to the FI miata world so forgive me as I learn. I don't remember his mani lookin as bad as the one posted at thee beginning of that other thread. And after seeing that, yeah.....I get the joke!

I think Jay's car was 327 whp when I drove it on a stock block (with forged internals from Mazda)
