Soft Top Fun
Hola turbo people. I'm back after lots of work away from home.
After 6 months of no swooshy and pshhh sounds I was forced to take the thing into emissions. It's been sitting topless in my garage this whole time.
Anyhow after easily slaying the emissions monster (thanks megasquirt) I decided to put the new top on. I pulled the new top out of the box and started putting it on. Not far in I realize it's not the same as my last top. My last top had a flap that you buttoned to the back bow as well as 2 slip flaps for the other 2 bows.
So on the new top the last bow is just floppy. I've read in lots of instructions about needing a strap but it mostly refers to the strap for glass windows and I went with the plastic window. Anyone see any reason why I couldn't just make a velcro strap connecting the last 2 bows?
Anyone else ever run into this? I've been reading all over the place and most of my searches take me back to m net and I'm having difficulty sorting through all of their non informative idiocracy.
btw i'm rockin a 90
The more i think about it i'm going to just velcro it unless someone tells me why I shouldn't. Then I don't have to wait for any parts or get gouged by the local POS Mazda dealer.

nevermind. I can see it's in my best interest to add the straps. It'll ensure my bows are in the right places so that my top is toit like a toiger.
edit: ok i've been looking for a part number and haven't come up with any. Do i just make them? They didn't come with my top.
