Default Size and grade of allen bolts that go into steerin wheel hubs/adapters?

What is the size and grade of the black allen bolts that go into steering wheel hubs/adapters and quick releases?

I got hubs and adapters, but the bolts are too short... need something longer.

Seems like a trip to the hardware store with wheel/hub in hand would be easier than asking us. I thought Americans were the lazy ones..

I got some m5 hex bolts for the steering wheel. Want me to measure them?

M5 x .8 I ordered a whole box of them from McMaster-Carr for mine, though I still haven't swapped out the silver screws that I got at ACE, lol. I ordered 16mm long for my Momo Prototipo.

behold my MSpaint skills

disregard the head, it's a regular allen head bolt. Takes a 3mm hex drive. Threaded portion is 12mm long. I didn't measure the taper on the head, but that should be standard. (This is a stock, black, steering wheel to hub bolt though).

And yeah, I was bored...

Ok, standard M5 issue allen bolts then it is... let's see if I can find them in black...

every DIY store carries them in silver. I've got a spare set of black ones if you need them though

I plundered the local Karwei bolts and nuts section. I've got a box of silver M5x20 allen bolts in front of me. Same specs as the stock ones, but the threaded piece is 16mm long instead of 9mm. €2 for a box of 12 or something like that...
