No pics my camera's battery was not charged. Installed my bumper with turn signals. Got the harnesses figured out so the drivers side is good to go along with the drivers seat. I'm on the hunt for suspension currently.

Mostly money issue, AST's are cheap and will work pretty good i think. Plus ill be driving it around this winter and spring. When next season starts ill end up putting on RS-3's.
Today i finished mounting the harnesses and seats and decided to pull her out and wash and wax, Also noticed my e-brake does not work .
All clean!

Today was dedicated to getting my black car ready for the new owner despite some snags he came through and wanted it. What i got in return was a sweet built motor.
Ladies and gentlemen. Jasons (JayL's) built block. His current head needed a new valve job and i also couldn't control the VVT, so i just got the short block. Ill be on the hunt for 99-00 head/intake manifold. Ill probably end up putting this motor in next year after i have fun with the 1.6. Any good ideas for storing a motor for a long period of time?

Ill revive this thread since i just did some major work on it. Since this i last posted this thread i have done a bunch of ****.
SS brake lines
Meth injection
Xidas
De-churbod
Sold the built motor a while ago
Made good power with the manifold i made first
Cracked a piston
Which led me to this rebuild. Its my first engine and ill let the pictures do the talking.
Homemade meth box
This is the power i made on the stock motor before i cracked a piston.
Donor block i picked up for 50$
And so it begins
Cleaned the **** out of the oil pan
DIY coolant reroute
Cleaned this bitch too
And its ready to go back in the car.
So ya pretty stoked.

Yeah it's a good idea. If you need machine shop work anyway just drop that stuff off because normally they want to tank the block anyway. It's cheap too. Think it was like $35 for me to tank my pan, block, intake manifold (had fun disassembling it), and I'm not sure if the pistons I gave you were tanked but I gave them to the same guy and they came back the way you saw them.

Got the engine in and running tonight. Runs great from what i can tell. I haven't had a chance to drive it yet. There is something really humbling about building an engine yourself. Only had 1 minor issue the that was the temp sensor for the ECU somehow forgot to get torqued on. Turbo should be making an appearance tomorrow or Friday.
