Default Rental Track Miata @ 949Racing

Car info

We have added another fast track Miata to our stable. Everything a Miata needs to hold up to track use, be safe, fun, fast and rewarding to drive is tuned in. With the hardtop in place and the right driver, it'll lap faster than the Spec Miata lap record at any track in California.

For the next few weeks, it has double adjustable XIDA's. You may not ever drive another Miata that extracts more mechanical grip from 225/45/15 tires than this little car. Fantastic learning tool, more grip than power. Super stable, neutral, communicative and easy to drive.

Email or call for pricing and availability

Can I wreck it? How much just to rent it for an hour and have sex in the passenger seat with a gf? I have questions that need answers!

I beat on this car at Streets, retarded amounts of grip and fun. 8 laps and I was a second or two under SM times there. If you're thinking about a track day Miata, rent this car and convince yourself.

Add lightness.

A few big items like no soft top, no bumper supports. Little things like deleting the steel safety cups for that motor mounts. Long list of stuff really.
Lots more I could remove: intrusion bars in doors, door panels, radio, speakers, heater, lower dash, dash support, hood latch, trunk latch, trunk hinges, steel trunklid swapped for color matched FRP lid.

A guy showed up to the MC #9 at SOW with a freshly built, street driven mod class '90 that was about #1950 with a roll bar. Had it corner weighted at West End alignment the day prior so that's a reliable number. That.. is light.

It doesn't have to haul around your massive ego.

A few updates.

We just did a 2:03.390 at BW13 CW and a 1:25.601 at SOW CW in the rental on NT01's. Xida's are back on it for a few events, then the revalved 12/7 Flex go back on.
