Is this really possible?

Bearing in mind that what we see is what he chose to edit into the video, my assumption is that he wasn't happy with the proper numbers he got out of the 2560 and did a pull in a lower gear to inflate them for clicks. "Greg peters built motor did 400+ why is yours only 300" would've been screeched from his fanbase for ages.
Its misleading but at the end of the day, he's the one getting the deposit from youtube and his followers are young kids who cant afford built motors much less proper turbo setups so I don't blame him. If he really was at 388, his follow follow up (ft reckless driving) would have been torture on a 6 speed.

I dont know why because I love his videos, but it really irked me that he thinks its making 388. It was almost like I felt like I had to prove that wrong lol. Heck, ill drive my car up there and roll race him so he can put that in a video. It would be awesome, lol.

At ~400whp on street tires with a 6 speed, my car would spin from 60mph in 3rd on concrete, from a roll. That looks vid looks more like 300whp than 400whp to me.
When I was supercharged at 350whp 6 speed, I was going through the gears quite a bit quicker than that, and I'm certain my 99 NB is heavier than that car.

I was actually referring to that build. I guess we have different opinions of what a good fabricator is. Not knowing how to cope tubing correctly is a fail in my book. Besides very poor welding skills. Obviously he has shitty research skills because he could have easily watched some youtube vids to learn how to do the fabricating correctly. He has a shop and is making money from these vids. He is not claiming to be a garage diy'er anymore.

I was curious and scrolled through the comments. Plenty of people asking for a race/collab with CarPassionChannel and some supportive replies from Greg, but no responses from gingy. I think he's aware of the discrepancy lol. Should give his a good excuse to go GTX down the road though.
At the end of the day, Its youtube and 99% of those watching just want to see "cool car go fast turbo go stututu". I'll take some inflated dyno numbers from a guy who has a pretty clean garage build any day over a jake paul terrorizing neighborhoods for clickbait

In some ways I think it is ok to cut him some slack but he does have a following and has become somewhat of an educator.. For the most part I just feel he is being irresponsible. Bad practices with his builds and handling of tools. Sooner or later he or one of his followers will get hurt.
At 23 I had completed all of the welding, machine technology and automotive classes at my community college. Actually I was working on my second engineering concentration at my alma mater. For him not to make education a bit more of a priority is a enough of a reason to criticize him. It does not have to be school, it could be a mentor, an apprenticeship or at least time on the internet to search out what he is doing at a specific point in his build.
He has a 388hp build that youtube paid for but he could not take 1hr to watch some basic vids how to setup a MS. Also he could do a lot worse then to come to this forum and read.

Hey, while we are trashing the guy, did you see his "first drive" video of this car? He mentioned several times how "he could make it drive better but he doesn't need to just to break it in" while the car is jerking down the road and he can't rev the car past 3,000 rpms without it leaning out. That is no way to break in a motor, take 5 minutes and hook up your laptop and enable VEAL!
I do actually like a lot of what he's done, and it's a pretty cool channel. But he definitely cuts corners, and it's not just him it's this whole era of YT kids. Back in my day you documented this **** via build threads, properly, and it became a knowledge-base for everyone else. Now days it's all about view and likes.
