Default radiator caps... any truth?

Alright, i just read on flyin miata that increasing the psi of your cap will increase flow through your system? they sell a 22-24psi cap, I have a 13psi cap... any thoughts? or truth?

Don't think it will increase flow, but what it will do allow the temperature to increase more before letting coolant get out to the reservoir. This could give you that little extra margin if you are right at the overheating point.

But be careful. If the condition of your cooling system leaves something to be desired, increasing the pressure may show you the weak points, if you know what I mean

Raising the pressure of a liquid also raises its boiling point.. Or something like that anyway
