Price for used 99 engine complete and running?
#2
The prices are all over the chart, i think you need to fill us in with a few more details, like who is selling it, why are they pulling it out of a running car, how much is the seller asking, etc. Don't be a bitch and hold out on us now.
Also, why do you need a motor, is yours blown, common newb, get with the program!!!
There is a reason I ask all these question, pick your answer wisely.

I paid $750 for a motor, 5-speed, and torsen with 65k miles on it...lol. I got my hustle on for that deal though. The locals around here think the 99 motor is worth $1100 or so, which is very lol if you ask me.

99 engine
It's the complete engine fly to fan, exhaust man and all intake and sensors, in the car, fires up and runs. The car has 67K on the clock before it was salvaged from a rear collision so the front half is good. It has a slight burble as it comes off the revs just before it settles into idle again (any clues?)
I have taken out my 94 engine with almost 200k on it and was going to rebuild it, bore block, new pistons, complete head, etc., but pricing it out is getting costly. So I am thinking that a better base would be a 99 engine. Was thinking of just changing the head to a 99 but if I can get the whole thing local for $1200 its cheaper than all the parts. Can I get a better deal or should I jump on this.

Keep the 94 block and build to your specs, and just buy the 99 head. $1200 is a wie bit way too high. I would try to get the motor for $800 or less and sell the block to someone looking for NA powahz! Even that is a little steep for me, but I think it is a fair ammount. Good luck getting that price, I don't think it is worth more than that.
