Default pics of my new setup

I know some might think the turbo painted on the intake manifold is stupid, it just bare so I'd thought I'd try something . if I might change to miata or mx-5

It's a 1994, (stock 8.8 compression) OBD1 motor with 90K miles on it paid 650 for it and the tranny, new bearings main, rod, and thrust, new water pump. FM's old T28 sleeve bearing turbo, BEGI's new down pipe, manifold, and small intercooler set-up. RX7 550cc injectors, FFS fuel rail, link ecu, innovate wideband, cat delete, enthuza 21/2" exhaust, 1991 BRG chasis, FM front sway , no rear sway, kyb agx shocks and ground control springs 375/250, rota circuit 8 , 15 inch, hard dog double diagonal rollbar, ps delete, will be trying to put the A/C back in it., plan to add Devil's own meth inj. Hoping for 250hp at the lowest boost level possible

The only thing I regret about my build is not buying Corky's manifold and downpipe. Nice looking setup

Those downpipes are pieces of art, not really meant to be used.

Thanks guys. you should have seen it when i got it. the car it came out out of had a virginia inspection sticker on it and it must have been near the coast cuz the block had rust all over it. the car had recently been srecked in the back so i know it hadn't been sitting up very long. i cleaned ALOT of grease off it and then used some kind of rust remover stuff then painted the block and oil pan. the valve cover and gold pieces are a crinkle style paint. the motor tested good as far as compression and leakdown but when i went to change the timingbelt and waterpump i noticed some crankshaft endplay still in mazda's generous specs but more than i liked. since i wanted to pull the oilpan for the oil return tap i decided to goahead and do the bearings and thrustwashers. i'm using the 1.8 throtlebody so i may have some trouble with not having the IAC work. the 1.8 and 1.6 iac signals are differant. today i plan to work on the fuel injector harness . then i have to roll my car out of the shop so i can manuver the hoist and put the motor on the floor , install the flywheel , clutch , tranny. then probaly put the motor in the car tuesday. i have to work monday and have tues & wed off. it's been a slow process since i have another car and family obligations , only wanted to work on it when i was in the mood. the gold looks pretty good with the brg car and i've painted the airfilter surround the same gold color. I ordered one of the stage 21 extraction hoods in dec that should be coming in soon. i'm sure i'm going to have alot of tuning to do to get it run right. I also think I'll do the ATF oil changed thing to clean lout the HLA's and any sludge in the small passages. All the BEGI stuff is very nice. one thing i would suggest to them is with the small intercooler that i bought is to change the mounting tabs so that it is located a little higher up. as it is the bottom inch is behind the bottom bumper lip and there is a gap bwtn the top of the intercooler and the top lip of the bumper. if that makes sense.

When I saw the parts you were selling, I knew your new stuff would be the hotness.

Looks great.

Whats your estimate on boost level required to hit 250rwhp? Maybe 12-15 pounds? Yours seems like an efficient set-up.
