Odd Issue
On a 1997 Miata. Had to change the Main fuse in the fuse block in the engine compartment because it had basically become brittle and fallen apart, the black plastic just cracked away into little burnt-type pieces. Replaced it with an exact fuse.
Now the car will not start. All of the electronics turn on, everything acts like it normally does during a normal start-up, but the starter does not function, and the headlights also don't work.
Went back and checked all the fuses under the hood and in the cabin, all check out fine. The battery was disconnected through the whole operation.
Any ideas?
Nevermind. Problem solved. Harness had come loose from underside of engine bay fusebox.
