obd1 or 2

obd1 or 2
I'm going to look at a 95 either tonight or tomorrow, but was wondering about the switch over to obd2 somewhere in 95. Obd scan port should be to the right of the wheel under the dash correct? Anything else on the car to verify whether it is obd1 or 2? Labels, vin, etc..
I'm trying to be on the right path with an obd1 car
Turbo complicates this.
Thanks!

If it's 95, it's obd1. Some models had OBD2 and were sold in 1995, but were technically 1996 models. If you slide the passenger seat forward and lift the rear carpet, the ECU will have 2 plugs for OBD1, and 3 plugs for OBD2.
The OBD2 port likes to break off in these early OBD2 cars, so it may be stuff up by the radio/center console area. I think only the OBD2 cars had a weird looking crank wheel/sensor too, only to detect misfires, all NAs have the CAS on the back of the head.
If the emissions sticker is still under the hood, it should say "OBDII certified".
I got all this from a google search, fyi.
