Hello to everyone, I need a bit of help.



On Saturday I wanted to check the ECU readings, i removed the ecu to put the serial usb cable and put it back together I saw two pins really closed each other so I increase the separation (the pins were the PRG, IDK if it helps), them my battery was dead so I used a jump lead to start the car, AND I THINK either I charged the battery had reverse polarity or by mistake I shortcut the circuit ( yes I know I am stupid) the result was that not instrument cluster or fuel pump worked.



Today I realised that the main fuse was blown (80ah in the engine bay). I replaced the fuse used a new batteryand no joy. Everything works except instrument cluster (no engine lights. CEL, if I turn on the headlights the cluster will illuminate) and fuel-pump not working either.



Anyone has an idea what could be? I don't have a mx5 original ecu so I can not check if the me221 is broken.



PS: If I turn the headlights on the cluster illuminate, but not ABS or Hand Brake light tho.

Have you checked the engine fuse? It’s a 15amp in the fuse box inside the car (on the NB, not sure about the others). Try searching the forum for it.

Today, I been checking the fuses/relays cabin and hood. I removed the b6s8 relay and checked the voltages, all this without the me221 plugged in.

I have no voltage in the hole hood fuse box. At all. Yesterday checked the voltages and they where correct.

In the cabin fuse box I DONT have voltage at the following fuses:

A - Engine
B - Meter
C - Air bag
I - Tail lights

Rest of the fuses have voltage.

Should the main 80a fuse be affected since the b6s8 relay it was not plugged in?
