If you kept it I'm sure its still connected to the fuel tank vent line. If not how did you vent the 5/8 line that goes to the tank?
Its a big dumb heavy thing that Id rather loose if possible and make room for new fuel filter and regulator in its spot.

Are you referring to the one under the car on the passenger side? I forgot to connect mine for several months, until I had the rear tire off and noticed it. I reconnected it when I noticed it, but couldn't tell any difference in smell or anything so it must not have been too important.
