miata rpm frequency pick-up
looking for a best place to pick up rpm signal to feed to arduino through this frequency to voltage converter.
also, does anyone know what SCALE and PPR would be correct for miata to fit in this formula?
RPM = SCALE * INPUT * 60 / PPR
INPUT = Hz input from RPM pick-up
PPR = pulses per revolution

ive looked online and it seems like 4-bangers usually output 2 pulses per revolution and 6-bangers output 3 pulses per revolution. grrr... i really dont want to sit in the car with a laptop, breadboard, and shitload of wires to figure it out...
think i could use pick-up at the coil or cas? not even sure which one it would be. id rather not take half of my car apart to get it working
