Intake coolant plug.
As I have a new custom intake manifold coming my way I was wondering if anyone knew what size plug is needed on the block for the line that runs to the intake manifold. I know it was brought up recently in "stuff I can remove now that I have MS" was the jist of the thread (included silly stuff that you can remove pre-ms like charcoal canister etc) i just can't seem to fin the thread.

If it was me i would go ghetto and just use a short piece of hose with a screw/bolt in it. It will work just fine, if not better than any plug you could buy. Ive seen enough plugs/caps for stuff like that crack at the ends.
How the hell do you know stuff like that scott? Guess thats why your called braineack

Most of the little water fittings under the hood are 8mm, such as the one from the mixing manifold to the thermostat housing, the block to intake, etc. I have typically used 5/16" fuel hose for them- works out to 7.9mm. I'd expect that a 5/16" cap with an appropriate clamp would do the trick.

Brain, did you block the coolant to the manifold also?
