Inspection question for my Texas brethren in non-emissions counties
I live in a non-emissions county in Texas, and I’ve got several months before my inspection is up so I’m just trying to get my ducks in a row. Should I have any trouble passing a safety and visual inspection with all the turbo parts installed?

I'm in probably the most annoying county inspection wise (Travis), and they didn't bat an eye at anything on my car (MP62 cold side, so non-OEMintake manifold). It's OBD1 which means I didn't have to worry about the actual emissions bit, but they just tested the brakes + horn and sent me on my way.

Thanks for the reply. I'm probably just being paranoid, but I am running without a cat at the moment. However the car doesn't sound like it at all, especially when compared to the V8s that run around out here with off-road H pipes. If anything it's quieter now than it was before the turbo kit went on.

Depends on the inspector.
One of the reasons I chose to move to Hood from Tarrant was the inspection differences.
Technically they are supposed to do a visual inspection to verify emissions items are present.
Having extra stuff is a grey area, depends on how OCD the inspector is.
You PAY for a safety inspection in an attainment (non-emissions) county.
Safety inspection is lights, horn, tires, lug nuts, brakes, hand brake, wipers.
Often the people I use don't even open the hood.
They are supposed to drive it to check brakes, most times they don't.
The inspection shop makes NOTHING (basically) for this service, most stations sell additional work to offset the loss they take for doing an inspection.
They usually don't work real hard to **** off a customer.
Inspection stations are monitored by TXDOT.
If a State trooper is there do not have car inspected.
They are not nice to inspection guys....
If your car is OBD1 95 and older it is also given a safety inspection even in a non-attainment county.
Inspections are less than $10 for safety and $35+ for with emissions.
They made all the inspection shops ( in non-attainment counties) purchase dynos to test 25 years ago and turned them all off about 2 years ago.
They did NOT pay the shops anything when they shut the OBD1 inspection down...
You could make your dyno function again but it needed a complete control system.
Find a small inspection shop and make friends with the guys.
If you can take all of your cars to them for inspections, refer people, be a positive for the inspection station.
I would not ask an inspector to break the law. The TXDOT folk like to put inspectors in jail...
Be happy you are in an attainment county.
