Inner tie rod help
OK I am a dumbass. I have searched this thread, read the shop manual, and cannot figure out how to detach the inner tie rods from the steering rack. I bent the 'washer tabs' out of the way, and tried to unscrew the tie rod end from the rack. Either I am not trying hard enough, or am about to screw something up.
Show me where the clue bus stops so I can get on board.

OK I got it off. Put it in a bench vise and that did the trick. Thanks for the fast feedback.
I did have some kind of a failure though. I am doing the FM depower procedure. This is on a NB rack which is a little different than the NA rack they show on their writeup. To remove the rack, there is a big aluminum nut on the end of the hydraulic tube instead of the snap ring. When I was screwing it back in, a piece of gunk or something got stuck in it and now the freaking thing is jammed in place 1/2 way in. Damn it. I already chipped two of the flats trying to get it out.
