Is this Ignition Map Retarded?
This is from a recent dyno tune. Looks to me like it's pretty good out of boost but conservative in boost. Thoughts? Am I off-base?
Car feels fast on the highway but a lot weaker than I expected down low. Spool seems slow as well.

Thanks. Doesn't feel tragic by any means but I thought the 2560 would have a bit more oomph on bottom when tuned properly.
I'm just trying to decide if my expectations were too high or if there is power on the table. I mean, I have old, hard, Kumho 711s on the car right now (to preserve my *specs pre-alignment) and it will chirp them in 1st gear but no fear of breaking traction in second.

Yeah, I've been running this for about 3 weeks but just got time last night to pull it off the EMS and take a look at it. In comparing it to some MS basemaps, it looked more retarded in boost than most.
Unfortunately the shop is pretty far away and I'm afraid to monkey with timing and not add fuel. Frankly, I don't have skills in this area - which is why I went to a shop in the first place. They seemed to have a clue, but their experience is largely Mitsu and Subie stuff. They have supposedly done a bunch of Spec Miatas but I'm probably 1 of only a couple turbos.
I'll post the graph when I'm able to get a good pic or scan. Mustang dyno - 208hp/185tq. I was expecting closer to 200 ft. lbs., really.

There are other variables to consider like belt-stretch, CAS position (can you see 2-3* on the crank pully?), and manliness.

This is what I really meant. I'm not talking about "burning rubber" so to speak.
Am I being too hung up on numbers, maybe? 185 ft. lbs. seems lame to me. Honestly I don't care much as long as it pushes me back in the seat a little!
Not sure what you mean by 2-3* on crank pulley. I'm running the NB crank sensor/TSE wheel, so the timing should be pretty spot-on.
Oh, and manliness?? We drive Miatas. Betta have yo' manliness together.

solo, What AFR's are you running at? I this looks like a DSM'er timing map and I'm wondering if it has the 10something:1 afr to match. Not seen played with tuning any turbo miata's but coming from NA ones, the out of boost timing is very conservative like 8 deg off of what you;d run a similar manifold pressure and rpm NA.
