I made MX5Atlanta.com!
Hopefully I'm not stepping on any toes here as I don't see this as completely trying to steal users. More of trying to help the local community out.
Either way, as a newish Miata owner in Atlanta I've found it hard to find a central forum to gather and discuss general Miata stuff. Sure, I've found I can discuss auto x stuff with a few Miata drivers in the auto x forums, turbo stuff here, import Atlanta stuff (whatever that quite may be) and a few other variants too. But there isn't a central Miata Atlanta website. So I created one.
It's still new, but I hope to create a place where all the Atlanta Miata folk can congregate. There's enough of us to deserve our own forum, rather than being dispersed over several places. Well thanks for your time, just let me know if you don't want this post here. Even if you don't live in Atlanta you're more than welcome to drop by and say "hey".

Cheers,
Jack Maddox
and yes... there will be stickers!

It's MX5Atlanta for the flow and ring of the name, but just like all of the other xAtlanta forums, people from all around are welcome and encouraged to sign up. It's more of a Georgia forum than just Atlanta.
M2cupcar - currently got a new banner in the works, one that matches the theme a bit better. Appreciate the suggestions, it all helps.
miatanutz - I think he's referring to Orlando mate!
It's really taking off at the moment. Much more active than I had expected at this stage!

Don't forget to engage the local club, PeachTreeMiata Club.

They've got a yahoo board, but those usually suck.

I bet there are some guys in the club who'd love a "real" local board. Also, in the beginning, it's gonna take a lot of work on your part to keep the site interesting and dynamic so new people will continue to join and participate. I'd start by hosting a drive-night. Typically, any local SonicBurger would be stoked on a Wed or Thurs night to have 30 cars roll in for an hour or two w/everybody buying dinner... just don't take up all the spaces and keep the language clean. Once you've got the "weekly meet" established, and have the club-members talking about it, keeping the site going will be cake.
Get a good consensus of where locally everybody lives and find the SonicBurger that's central to the most amount of people.
I'd also make up about 1000business cards advertising the forum and pass out 10 to each person who wants them... and stick them on every decent looking Miata you find.
Good luck!

I've made up some business cards so I'll start doing that asap too. I was quite pleased at the last autox how many owners I talked to that were already part of the forums. Next time I'll flood the cars with business cards!
I was doing the yahoo group thing but forgot all my login details, and as I was being a hasty youth I didn't enter the correct information for which to retrieve my info, alas it's time to start again!
I'm really pleased with how it's going.

So yeah, I tried joining the PMC yahoo group to tell them about the place... apparently you have to pay $25 to be able to join the group. Sod that!
Welcome Rotor! Activity seems to be pretty steady so far, with only Saturdays being quite slow. You've certainly helped in your limited time so far
