help with stock ecu replacement
im still having issues with my miata an im resorting to the ecu now... but i went to order an ecu and the sticker on the ecu is " BPF3 " from what it seems its a jdm ecu and i dont know if thats true and if there is anyother stock ecu's that will plug and play with that

first of all is that true about the ecu?
So this is what happened i tapped in to a wire under the steering colum white/black for constant 12v and i think the radio over drew current becuase after i tapped into that wire the coil packs under the hood were smoking while the car was on acc position. since then i changed coil packs, plugs / wires, cam sensor, check all fuses with multimeter ( the only fuse that was bad was the room fuse, i replaced that and dash light and key buzzer came back ), tested to see if 1a and 1b wires going to ecu were getting 12v and it is, the wire i tapped still gets constant voltage, even unhooked the alternator and tried to start it just from the battery and same thing.. Now one i did pull the steering cover off to make sure it went to igniton and a wire thats white/black does go there but the wire i chose was another white/black wire that goes in the middle of the steering wheel and horn still works every thing does but wont start and its giving me a headache its been a month now ... What happens is goto start the car it turns over and shuts off right away if you try and start it again it wont turn over you have to turn the key off then back on ...
thanks for your help all answers will be appericated

Doubt it's any issue with the ECU, they're generally very well protected with fuses and relays, and if the car starts, it's most likely unharmed.
Never tap in to any black wire, it's too common for them to be ground wires. On a miata red with a white stripe is a good one for things like stereo and other accessories.
Put your location in your profile, so anyone near by can possibly help out. It's fairly safe practice to swap parts between running and non running cars to see which one transfers the problem, that way you're not throwing money at parts that aren't broken.
Lastly, please, please, work on your grammar and punctuation. You'll get much more help if your posts are easier to read.
