Default Hella mad tyte jdm compressor surge.

I have a Knock off SSQV, and I have been getting lots of compressor surge, and it is like nails on a chalk board, as if the BOV isn't enough. I searched compressor surge and ssqv compressor surge and ssqv bov and some other ****. Is there anyway I can soften it up so it doesnt surge as much? Also, it came with some check valve looking thing, but its not really a check valve, maybe more like a filter, it just impedes airflow both ways, Is that effecting anything? Thanks.

I ran a HKS SSQV for awhile between 6psi and 10psi with no surge at all. I ended up selling it to the snowboarder and from the videos he's posted it seems he has no surge either.

I always used that little in line filter/valve, but I doubt its needed. I don't have anything like that with my Tial bov. Although I do have surge with the Tial at low boost.

Could be the fact that it's a bad knockoff? All for the so beloved squeak sound the HKS SSQV makes, and not so much the functionality of it.

Off-throttle squeaky noise out the BOV is not compressor surge for the record. However...you can cut the spring for find a softer one.

Wait, are we talking about the normal noise of a SSQV, or actual surge noises? I guess one could confuse the two, somehow.

Actual surge, I can hear where it is coming from, and i know the difference, I guess i has a shitty one. Time to man up and get some real ****. Or, time to man up and cut my spring.

Mine started surging a little bit so I turned the boost up.

You can cut the spring to make it softer.
