Headlamp Motor has play
Hi Miataturbo.net. I searched the web for my issue with no avail. I was trying to fix a loose driver headlamp assembly. I found out when going over bumps at night a seeing the light flicker through the road signs. I tried to fix it by adjusting the bumpstop which would of solved it, but created another one.
I disconnected the linkage from the motor by undoing the 14mm nut on the spindle, not knowing I could snap off the linkage on its own (dumbass). When I began to tighten the nut to reinstall it, I forcefully moved the motor a bit and now it has play to the point where the lights don't deploy/retract in unison.
Can the play in the shaft spindle be remedied somehow or am I looking to replace the motor? Thanks in advanced!
