Default Harness mounting question

So I finished installing my harness, and I noticed that the right side (When sitting in the seat) rides up when I tighten the right shoulder harness. And when I say rides up, I mean it nears my ribcage, so major riding up.

I mounted it here:

Thoughts on why/how to fix this?

You needs a 6th point, that's how I have mine mounted, with no riding up issues.

Sorry, I don't understand, what do you mean a 6th point?

Exactly, since there's no 5th or 6th point hold it down, it's going to "ride up" as you tighten the shoulder belts. The only thing to help that's not buying a 5 or 6 point harness, is to tighten the waist belts more.

Although, I temporarily had my G-force 6 point harness hooked up as a 4 point on the stock miata seat, and I didn't have any major issues, beyond the obvious safety issues. Used the harness bar behind me with the straps looped around, and the two stock lower mounts. Try removing the buckle, it might be binding up a bit on it?

Edit: To explain, a 5th point goes straight down, where as a 6th point splits into two, anchoring down to two points instead of one. I don't believe there is a huge safety advantage to a 6 point, it's just for ease of mounting. I think.

Weirdly, I feel so unbelievably unsafe with the 4 point that I'm probably going to stick the stocker back in.

That's not weird at all.

Four points are worse than the stock setup.

Get a 5/6 point or stay stock.
