Halp, NB2 cranky cranky no start
After popping our first endurance engine two weeks ago we built another one. 2001 VVT block, 11:1 supertechs, ported head, I/H/E etc. OEM ecu and cam/crank triggers, OEM VVT coils for now. Zeitronix zt-2 feeding a simulated NB signal to the stock ecu input pin. This is the 2nd and last opportunity for engine break-in and track test is tonight (not cutting it close, at all)
Thing cranks and cranks but doesn't catch. Appears to not have any spark, occasionally smell of fuel. Plugs looks like new and stay dry. Appears to not register RPM during cranking so no spark and fuel (does the tacho jitter/move during cranking?). Changed cam sensors (3 actually), no dice. Didn't have a spare crank sensor (found one today) but we changed the air gap from anything between .5 and 3 mm. Also no dice.
Looks to be either the crank sensor or something electrical, yay. We spliced in fresh ecu connectors since the old ones had bent/damaged pins. Everything was color-matched, crimped/heat shrinked and tested for continuity with the corresponding connector on the engine side of the harness.
What else is there to check?
TL;DR: ****'s messed up and stuff
