Fun with a Sawzall
Got bored one sunday and started hacking up my 96R that I am going to be using for my Locost. I figure that I can get a good feeling for how different weight loss affects the car this way. I didn't want to hack up anything inside of the cab for risk of getting cut, so that is unchanged. The outside of the car was free to cut away as much as i could.
Yes this is a temporary wooden battery box. It is held down with some 2'' sheet metal screws. Once again temporary.

Thought about doing what Brandon is doing at FM with using the front/rear subframes and runnign some 1 1/2 square tubing between, but this was easier. That and it didn't make it a pain in the *** to use the rear subframe for the locost.

Well **** I have more cutting to do. I feel like thr guy that pulls up to starbucks in his F360 only to have an enzo park next to him. Nobody cares about the F360 anymore.........
But seriously. I am going to leave it like this until i get my bender to make a full cage for it. My roll bar now doesn't have a harness bar, so can't go over to harness and cut the belt towers away. Either way this should be fun. Hope to look like Bruce's soon.
