My buddy has the GV lip on his black car with bronze konig heliums, Headlight NACA duct, and lowered. It looks really good, but it is also really low to the ground. Personally I would stick with the mazda lip but the GV looks really mean esp. with a bit of a rake on the car.

If you live in an area with lots of steep/raised entrance driveways and have a lowered car, I'd think twice about the GV lip, only b/c it's much lower and thus easier to crack.
As for the rats back, the CF looks fabulous, but wasn't TurboTim unhappy with the fit of the headlight cover? Just a thought. I have no affilation ad actually dig the ratsback CF lips, but I'd make sure fitment is not an issue.

Definately, if you live in an area with the step driveways, speed bumps, etc, and a lowered car, go OEM.
The plastic is really good. Mine got taken up and over a curb, which was enough to blow the air-bags.... (stupid '95 sensors/recall).... the nose was OK with no damage, and the lip just got pulled past the washers.... again no damage.....
Needed new 'shield + replaced bags......

you should see if any of the ratsback stuff is on ebay. I've seen him sell products on ebay before, and it goes for less than what it's listed for on the site.
IMO, the oem looks better though.

at stock height i think the ratsback would literaly EXPLODE in one day driving around here.with me being careful .thats why ratsback is out of the question.
im not really going for the ''everyone look at my car'' just miata enthusists to be able to see the lilttle girly car differences.and everyone else think its stock.

I cant see the ratpack lasting long, These cars are low stock and a lowering spoiler does not help. You are going to scratch from time to time. I liked the stock "R" one the best. My car is stock ride height with the type II, I have scratched all the paint of the bottom. I try to be careful too.
