to fix or part out?
So I haven't posted on here in a longgggg time, but recently I bought a kraftwerks supercharged sto miata and proceeded to get a little too brave and crashed it in the canyons. That's what I get for going SC!The plan was to sell the supercharger kit and go turbo over the winter, but that's all on hold for now.
There is some frame damage in front of the shock tower, mostly before where the headlight mounting studs are, but there is one little dimple in the frame behind the headlight mounting plate and before the shock tower.
The plan was to hack off the radiator support and make a custom bash bar/radiator mount to simplify straightening it all out, but the damage behind where the headlight is mounted has me concerned. Today I also noticed that the door jam on the back of the driver's door is much closer than on the passenger side, leading me to believe that side of the car shifted a little as well. Finally, the rear wheels are toe'd in a lot... way more than they should be, the alignment could just be way out of whack, or the arms/subframe could be bent.
Sorry for the crappy pics, but you get the idea. We were able to pull the frame a little bit already but there's still a noticeable kink.
I'm torn between attempting to fix this car, or just selling everything I can and keeping the MS/injectors/roll bar and starting again with a fresh chassis and going turbo. Thoughts?
