Early 1.8 diff w. stub/flanged shafts - removable?
As above - blew up my 2nd 1.6 diff, got a Torsen on ebay.
Its the early (93,94?) 1.8 Torsen which still uses a bolt-up driveshaft and a flanged stub in the diff.
Thus I need to purchase the (rare and expensive) 1.8 bolt up shafts.
Question - are the flanged stubs removable, such that I can buy and fit the far cheaper and more readily available push-in type 1.8 driveshafts from the late Mk1, and all Mk2 cars?
