dash removal NB
I realized that I still have a clusterfuck of wiring running to the steering column of my swap and to the driver footwell (extra OBDII port, dual WB wiring, gauge IGN+ taps, grounds).
Good news is the car runs and everything seems to be in order. I can't find the instructions for when Y8s and I removed it the first time.
Does anyone have a scan of the procedure or basic instructions?
I know I need to:
Remove hood and gauge cluster.
Remove a pillar covers and top latches.
Remove center console.
Remove radio surround.
Remove bolts behind small doors at knee area.
Remove bolt in center of dash at windshield.
Remove HVAC control cables.
Remove hood release.
Remove pax airbag.
Do I need to remove the steering wheel if I drop the column down?
Do I need to remove the stereo or does that sit in the center cage as long as the surround is taken out?
Thanks,
Frank

No need to remove the stereo, it comes out with the dash, and plugs into the dash wire harness which also comes out with the dash, no worries there. You wont have to remove the steering wheel but it would give you more room to work and less change of scratching the grip as you move the dash out... I left mine in place last few times.
