Default Cracked Block?

I just changed the head, headgasket, and headstuds on my miata and it seems to spitting alot of white smoke out of the back. This would indicate to me that coolant is still getting in somewhere besides the head. Possible cracked block? Best way to check?

more than likely your block or head arn't true or the head gasket wasn't seated properly... these blocks are pretty hard to crack.

Is there a possibility that this could just be left over coolant burning out of the system from the previous headgasket problem?
