Coolant fan fun!,04 MSM
Hey guys. I'm stumped! Need help
04 MSM
Ms2+ ecu
Coolant fan originally worked as normal when hot the turned on earlier this year randomly they decided they wanted to be on when key is on... I figured no harm
Fast forward to today fan will not turn on at all. I checked fuse it's good, not sure where relay is and not finding on google search. But car started burbling coolest when we got home..
The temp gauge on dash is showing normal temp on coolant... Is this a bad sensor at the thermo housing? Where can I jump fans to test them? The diagnostic port doesn't have all the pins like older miatas I'm stumped and deleted for right now help!

Your fans should kick on when you put on the a/c or defrost. If their not my guess would be replace the fuse.
You're fans work independently? Even before I was running my MS the fans would always kick on the same time I have never seen them work independent of each other.
You could also try reloading an older TS project file. I swapped out to a new computer and when I loaded up TS and connected it to my MS it somehow forgot the fan controller board configuration Rev had setup on my MS. So I had no fans at all. On TS I couldn't even navigate to the experimental menu where you could control fan timing etc, it just disappeared. So I quick pulled the old project file from my other laptop and opened it on the new laptop and pushed it to the ecu and the fans started working again.

Ok so tonight I tested all the relays they are in spec if I jump the terminal on any relay I can get the fans to turn on. Would this maybe be a ground issue or is this the sensor at the back of the motor on the therm housing that's bad? Or is this a ecu problem??
