Default Is this cam useable or is it done

Hey guys. Please take a look at the picture of my intake cam and tell me if it is useable or not. There is a piece of material missing. I just pulled this off a spare head I am rebuilding.

Thanks

No big deal. I might inspect it for other areas that look suspect, reinstall.

Being where that is on the lobe, unless that was a crazy rare or custom ground cam....there is no way in hell I'd run that in a motor I cared about.

I've seen chipped cams before but what worries me is how close it is to where it makes contact with the shim. It's not rare. Just a normal vvt cam.

I retract my statement. I failed to notice that it was on top of the lobe.

Lol fair enough. I'm just gonna get a new one. Not worth the risk, even if it ok.
