Broke key. How do I get the lock cylinder out?
Ok I broke my key off in the igntion. With some messing around with the broken key I was able to get it in the on position. I know with must locks you can remove them in the on/acc position if you press a curtain button/tab on the lock cylinder. The only problem is I have no idea where it is.
If I can get the lock out I can get out the broken key and I will be good to go. (I have an extra key.) I can't afford a locksmith right now so that is out of the question. I have also tried all the suggestions possible to get the key out. A dab of glue on the end of the broken key. Coping saw blades. Small hacksaws. Paper clips. Magnets (keys are not magnetic.) and the list goes on. That key is not coming out unless I can remove the lock cylinder.
