Default best color for a roll bar?

well I'm picking up an M2 HDHCDD tomorrow night.

It's scratched up a bit, and happens to be a "steel grey" apparently.

Color suggestions? I can't have a screwy looking bar in the car!

black. take it to a powder coater when they're doing a a run of black. I had an equipment rack powdered black that way. looks friggin great, and it didn't cost much.

what color is your car? I've got a gold cage in my red na. I'd suggest "krinkle" spray paint it looks badass and its not hard to screw up when applying.

dont unbolt it. tape it off. it took a total of ~6hours to do my complete cage. and then it took another 4 hours to prep to paint. not including the time we actually took to primer and paint.

+1 for powdercoated black. Our local PC shop would do a rollbar for less than $50, the coating would last a lifetime.

car is black. I can do any color.... I paint cars for a living. The Krinkle paint sounds interesting

I'll have to speak with the powdercoating place in town later this week and see what it would cost to have it powdercoated rather than painted

if you can do any color i'd do something other than black. what color is the interior of your car and the wheels? i'm thinking a really nice bigger flake metallic silver would compliment black paint nice.

Oh well hell if you can get some sick paint then screw black.
WOT had a badass paint scheme on his miata. The wheels and bar were the same color, it looked great.

whatever color you decide on hopefully you won't ever "paint" it red.

Black interior, gunmetal wheels.

I was thinking something a bit flashy, like with larger metalflake.

I also had an idea to airbrush some road cones on it, maybe knocked over with bumper scuffs on them.

Perhaps a black, with a heavy metalflake.....

I think the black flake would look nice. Crinkle is cool stuff, though i don't see it being airbrush friendly. It might look good in gunmetal, hard to say.
