Back on the road: a build thread
Back in August of 2016 I took a dive and drove three hours to OKC from Wichita to pick up a $900 '97 Miata.
Best damn decision of my life to date.
I had had an absolute blast driving it back home, and i learned some things too!
1: Never trust the previous owner unless you know them personally.
2: ALWAYS. CHECK. EVERYTHING. (missing lug nuts, surprised it made the journey back.)
3: Miatas are way too fun to be discounted as I once did.
Anyways, upon returning home, I checked the whole car out and found a few problems. The fluids hadn't been changed in 30k miles, easy. The rear wheels are running on three lug nuts each. But hey, it's a project and I have a daily, it's all good.
I'm now working to get the car completely road worthy again, and preparing it for some super-slidey action. Keep in mind this is a rough draft of a parts list, and I know it won't all be done in a month or two, it's a project.
Feel free to give suggestions, opinions, or anything that comes to mind!
