Default Fuji Kit finally a daily driver

I am finally getting this setup tuned.. The car is running quite well. The biggest issue has been the change in weather.. Cold changes everything.. Anyway I am getting somewhere around 150HP Crank .. I know, weak compared to a turbo.. but with the light flywheel and other mods, still pretty quick for a 205000 mile 1.6 litre engine.. I think I can get another 10 to 20 hp when I finally figure out what I am doing.. The car is not amazingly fast, but very quick.. the sound and throttle responce is amazing.. I can kick the heck out of it.. feel like I am flying and not have to go to jail..overall a pretty good setup.. If having fun is the most important thing.. This might be the answer..

Default failaids???

sorry.. Hey I cannot help it that I am old.. It stinks.. wait a couple of decades, if you can and tell me about it.. The up side Is that I got to drive all those old 50's 60's and other clasics before they hit crusher for almost nothing.. you know MGA Cuda Chargers GTO 442 Zcars both 280 and z28.. vetts... I could go on.. I have a life other than cars, but I have been doing this stuff to almost 50 years.. The sport is to build a car that can do what you want.. meet me in the twisties, and if I will will give you a reason to wonder if your remarks are well founded.. I am old but not dead.. like this thread..

I can walk down the street and get my neighbor's Honda Odyssey if you wanna race.

Wait, are you serious about "meet me in the twisties"? Are you under the impression that a turbo makes a miata handle worse or something?

So you're not some retarded punk kid that threw on some ITB's and hard parks with style.
You're just old and outa touch with modern fast cars.
Carry on sir

PS: trust me, you'll need more than that to put up a fight in the twisties

I am no pushover.. bring it on.. in the case of an minivan bring some money, I could use some easy cash.. I thought the purpose of the forums was to share info.. that was my purpose.. I am closing in on a usable tune.. If you can help great.. If you want to race a barge on a winding country road againsy a sports car.. you are a fool..

Whoa whoa whoa, calm down there guy. That minivan has pulled many a v6 mustang in the past. It's pretty nasty.

You're more than welcome to share all you feelings, thoughts and info on your miata. However, suggesting that your car would be faster than most of the turbo cars on here is pretty bold. A quick search will inform you that upgrading wheels, tires, suspension and brakes are popular mods done along side most turbo setups. I'm willing to be that most cars on here will not only out accelerate you, but will also out brake you.

I bet my car would just infuriate you.

My anti-throttle response turbo and new fangled, pesky computer running sequential devil magic:

You are right.. I was actually looking for help and got of subject.. I guess I had some other baggage comming in.. The whole fuel injection thing that you guys find easy and natural is new and overly complicated to me.. I am starting to get it, but I used to be able to make carburators sing.. This is a whole new game.. and the rules are all different..

Hey, Steve. Don't let the locals get to you- this is the standard new user hazing ritual, you're just getting it a bit later than most.

It's funny how perspectives work. I came of age during the awkward transition period when primitive, inefficient, unreliable EFI systems were starting to displace carburetors in most applications. My first couple of vehicles were air-cooled VWs, so I learned how to set points dwell with a business card and what have you.

Then, rather later on, I started getting into computer-controlled engine management. And I gotta be honest- I will be perfectly happy if I never have to touch another emulsion tube or distributor weight again.

Give it time- this does eventually get easy.

But we're still gonna give you **** about bringing a knife to a gun fight.
