Tim you should definately keep all paperwork on that manifold and dp for the gt2871. Im going to end up with it evenually. Ill be a mock-up sav's car except slower and less reliable lol.

What internals are u planning to run, JE/weisco, crower/carillo or supertech?

Fun stuff. I'm glad I'm a part of it. Thanks for the trust Sav.
I'll say this for anyone thinking about hiring Tim .... it's not cheap, but ALL of us who use his products are happy!

A much less expensive route would be a mild steel manifold (like Artie's and paul's) and an internal gate 2871. Weir's SS flanges are a bunch more than his mild flanges, and the tial flanges + clamps are also a lot more, plus you're adding an external gate & the plumbing/fab time for that, etc...

Actually I'm having a slightly difficult time getting Jes' duals where they should be, but thanks Evan

But mine's ceramic coated. SS still more expensive than the mild steel with coating?

I'm considering the switch too. Do it once, do it right, do it with SS parts and v-bands.

Any thoughts strength and ductile qualities of mild steel vs SS? I PM'd you about a stainless manifold, but I could also do the mild steel manipheould and coat it with that white ****.

Will I be able to get a wrench on the lower, center bolt on the manifold/head?

Any track people using this set-up with success? I'm talking about the men who are chasing down lap times...not the fagmo's out for a sunday drive.

Oh yeah I forgot about that shiny bling you got. Ceramic coating mild steel is probably still more than stainless, yes. Weir's SS flange, head and T2, was $100 & $40, his mild flanges were $22 & $10. So it's about $110 more for stainless (raw material for weld ells is actually cheaper for stainless by a few dollars). Ceramic coating is more than 110, especially when you include the turbine housing like you did Mr. Party.

No, no one yet has used one of my manifolds on a roadcourse.

I have thoughts but not hard evidence on the pros/cons between mild & stainless. My first crazy "ramhorn" manifold on my car was stainless and that was fine, pretty "buzzy" though but I think that was due to the length than the material. 304SS does grow more when than mild steel, that's for sure. Note BEGI and their fancy bracketry for their ss tubular manifold.

Sav considered mild, but ultimately the TiAL flanges only come in stainless. Not technically a big deal to weld stainless to mild supposedly with the right wire (which I bought a while ago but never opened) but he figured might as well make it all stainless. He's going with thick schedule 40 stuff too.

You can get to all the head bolts very easily. Your arm goes where the power steering used to go. That is unless I route the EWG in there (between turbo & block), not sure yet.

See the fun room on this pic of Artie's car:

Bravo Andrew. Bravo.

Emilio: "damn it, even with my amazing grip Savington is faster than the OGK... I need boost!"
*Emilio installs Rotrex, enter 200+ whp in OGK*
Savington: "Oh I was just getting started..."
*Built motor + GT2871R = Emilio takes his place in Savington's rearview mirror again*

I just ordered the same ewg to put on my ETD shorty. That housing looks money, I wish they made them for std t3 turbines.

Sweet! Just in time for my vacation. Don't send them to my house unless you want them sitting outside until I get back

BTW, damn that looks like a big inlet. Hmmmm

Do they send you hardware for attaching that turbine, or do you reuse the garrett stuff? Doesn't affect me, just wondering.
