No plans for wider tires right now. The 275 A6s are cost prohibitive.
I can't seal the windows due to legality - no HPDE group in the US allows it, unless your car came from the factory with sealed side windows. It's very common in Europe, and unheard of in the US. :(
I am out of gear, yeah. 146mph is 7400rpm in 6th with 4.10s. Going to switch to a 3.63 gearset sometime in the future - hopefully before my next trip to Calspeed in November.
The Ferrari vs. cheap car argument is a good one. I'm sure those guys are worried about tossing their 6-figure supercar into a wall, whereas if I do the same, it's $3k for a straight shell with a cage, I swap my parts over, replace a few broken suspension bits, and away we go. I'd love to turn that Ferrari owner into a customer - I'd duplicate my car in a heartbeat for the right money.

That said, while I've never been on an actual race track his line could use a lot of work IMHO which wouldn't put his car in jeopardy.
You mentioned he asked if it was v8 or something.. I'd bet if you tried, even maybe got him to run a SOLO Auto-x in your car... He'd be ready to sign the check! I had NO idea what I've been missing out on all these years with stock floppy garbage suspension. I'm bowing down to mine after every drive I go on because of how much it rocks... and my **** isn't even NEAR tuned.. Get on it!!
Still, You blew by that (GT2??) Porsche like it was a Yugo!
