99 motor swap into 97 NA - Fuel pump not priming
Hi everyone,
I'm in the process of completing my NB motor swap, and am trying to check fuel.
So far, the starter cranks and accessory lights turn on, but the fuel pump does not prime. Here is what i've done so far:
1) Jumpered F/P and GND in the diagnostic box. Fuel pump runs when key turns to accessory.
2) Tested electrical connector on the fuel pump itself. Runs if I give it 12V at the fuel pump. However, no voltage is detected on the red/blue wire + ground when measured and car is turned to accessory.
That said, I've pretty much ruled out a bad fuel pump and a bad fuel pump relay, since it primed when given power directly, as well as through the diagnostic box. I'm thinking its a ground issue or an ECU issue, but more than likely a ground issue since I'm still in the process of finishing all the electrical. I may have missed something.
Does anyone have an idea of what grounds/electrical sensors/connectors/wires would have a direct impact on the fuel pump priming? Any suggestions on how to proceed from here?
Thanks!
-Kris
