99/00 fuel tank differencees??
So, my 99 track car has been stripped to a bare tub and is becoming the recipient of all the turbo Street car goodies of a rusty and wrecked 2000.
the fuel tanks are different.
I planned to use the emaissions equipment from the 2000, but retain the 99 fuel tank as its squeaky clean.
now I'm not sure what I can/can't do. Ports are different, filler neck assembly is different. No idea on charcoal canister as the track car is long gone.
the 99 has this vent in the center and three hoses to the filler neck.
the 2000 has a large hose presumably running to the charcoal canister and 2 vent lines.
I haven't stripped this part of either car yet, and am still doing paint and bodywork to the good car, so I have time to figure this out before the challenge, but would love to know my options outside of putting the rusty tank from the 2000 into the 99. If there are any other options that is.
Thanks y'all.

Those are both the same, the '99 just has a removable vent. This allows small amounts of hydrocabrons to be released into the atmosphere at the seal, so in an effort to reduce this, Mazda made the vent part of the tank. Otherwise you have the same feed/return/vent/pressure sensor on both tanks.
You're going to have to show pictures of the filler neck if there's a difference there.
